Media enquiries to the Council are managed by the Communications and Publications team. Responses to enquiries are informed and agreed by the relevant officer and Cabinet member/committee chair as appropriate.
The team sends a weekly news email to nearly 19,000 subscribers which includes news items, a reminder about bin collections, nearby planning applications and local events.
The quarterly residents' magazine Local is produced by the team. The magazine is designed in-house and distributed by Royal Mail to every household (50k+) in the borough. Councillors are always very welcome to suggest topics for inclusion in the magazine.
The Council has a number of social media accounts which are also looked after by the team – X, Facebook, Nextdoor, Instagram.
