The Council works with a range of other public, private and voluntary sector bodies. 

Nationally, we work with the Local Government Association, Regionally, we work with South East Councils and, within Kent, we work with Kent County Council, Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the various bodies that make up the local health system.

Locally we work closely with town and parish councils, the Town Forum and many voluntary and community sector bodies. From time to time, we invite representatives of these bodies to present to councillors and there is a ‘back catalogue’ of talks available on the Member Briefing page.

There are formal structures in place for meetings with some of these bodies including the Joint Transportation Board (with KCC), meetings of Kent Council Leaders and Chief Executives, a Community Safety Partnership and a regular meeting of parish chairs.
